Church

The church is situated on a small hill not far from the square, facing the west. It is built in a Renaissance style and has only one bay.
The first mention is dated back to 1369. The original wooden church had a wooden belfry from 1586. In 1670 this church was demolished and there was built a new church in 1675. On the place, where the old wooden belfry was situated, there was constructed a new stone belfry in 1685. In 1885 the church was rebuilt to today’s look. The small tower was built in 1810.
The rectory comes from 1786, but there lives no priest here, he commutes from Police n.Met.
In 1990 there was bought a new bell St. Wenceslas and the church got a new facade.
In 2000 a new decorating and electroinstalation was remaked. (Photos)

Altars: they are from 1899 - the work of the firm Petr Bušek and sons from Sychrov. The main altar comes from 1835 and it has a picture of St. Wenceslas from 1894 painted by Vilém Kandler from Štěpánov u Kladna.
Font: it’s made of sandstone and has a statuette on the top.
Stations of the Cross are created by paintings of the firm Zambach and Müler from Vienna. They are situated on the walls.
The statuary located in the bay are: St. Wenceslas, John of Nepomuk, St.Ludmila and Virgin the queen of rosary. They were bought in 1896 from Josef Runggaldier in Gröden. They are also fixed on the walls of the church.
The organ comes from 1850. It has two keyboards. (more)
